The DBS CAP Covenant project aimed to enhance the credit process and improve risk management, ultimately leading to more informed lending decisions and increased operational efficiency. The problem
The existing credit process faced challenges in effectively tracking borrower risks and ensuring compliance with set covenants. Managing the compliance statuses of these covenants manually led to inefficiencies, delays, and the risk of errors. The goal was to create a streamlined, user-centric system that would address these inefficiencies while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
The solution
Our solution involved designing and implementing a platform that enabled users to add, update, and edit covenants seamlessly. The platform also included a "maker and checker" feature, where makers could submit covenants for approval, and checkers would ensure everything was in order. The platform allowed for real-time tracking of compliance statuses, ensuring transparency and a more robust credit process.

Increased Efficiency: The new platform reduced manual tracking, minimizing errors and speeding up the credit process.
-
Improved Risk Management: With real-time monitoring of covenants, the system enhanced risk mitigation efforts.
-
Better Collaboration: The "maker and checker" functionality improved approval workflows, ensuring more accurate and thorough reviews.
The platform was designed with a focus on user experience, ensuring ease of use and minimizing cognitive load, while still providing all necessary tools for managing complex credit decisions.
